It is situated on the historic island of Salamis, close to the Salamis Naval Base, the largest naval base of the Hellenic Navy. Its advantageous geographical position, close to the major sea routes of Gibraltar— Black Sea—Suez Canal, makes it an attractive option for ship operators.
